Abstract

Our presentation will provide information pertaining to proper pain management for pregnant women with substance use disorder. We will focus on harm reduction strategies that focus on treating pain rather than perpetuate stigma.

Objectives

  • Understand how pain affects women
  • How to maintain pain management in pregnancy
  • Diffuse the misconceptions of pain management with someone how utilizes MAT

Free CE credit of 1.0 hour for AMA, ANCC, and LSW/LCW/LPC/LMFT will be offered to those who attend.

Requirements include attendance for the duration of the session and completion of a course evaluation provided at the end of the session.
