Abstract

Substance use is a public health concern that is often stigmatized and requires targeted interventions to mitigate disparities around access to substance use services. There is a need for social change so people who use substances can more easily access treatment, harm reduction resources and recovery supports.

Objectives

  • Learn about public health perspectives on harm reduction
  • Understand the need for social change to decrease stigma
  • Get a glimpse of perinatal care for pregnant and post-partum moms with OUD

Free CE credit of 1.0 hour for AMA, ANCC, and LSW/LCW/LPC/LMFT will be offered to those who attend.

Requirements include attendance for the duration of the session and completion of a course evaluation provided at the end of the session.
